Some time in the middle of her 20+ years as Morning Edition host on NPR affiliates, Donna Apidone grasped the true Purpose of her job: Connect with people and guide them through their routine. Talk to one person at a time. Create an environment that combines information and encouragement. She left CapRadio in 2022.
For most of her life, Donna Apidone has entertained audiences in media and in person. She is a contributing writer for Abridged.org. She writes and produces content for national outlets including “America’s Heartland” and NextAvenue.org.
Donna speaks to community groups and teaches classes on finding Purpose. Her talks are rooted in persuasion theory, a process she has taught nationwide.
Donna is author of Drive-Time Meditations (on Amazon). Her brief, vibrant recorded motivators are available by subscription. They are also in a package of classroom tools distributed by Cour Experience.
Her first book, TransForMission (on Amazon) is a path to Purpose. It’s also a six-week class, currently offered through Sacramento State University.
Donna is a recipient of the 2023 Artistic License Awards from California Lawyers for the Arts.
Her long-running series of author interviews captivated audiences and merited rave reviews from best-selling writers. As host of Morning Edition, she drew a weekly audience of 100,000 listeners. Her guest appearances on CapRadio’s “Insight” tapped into an audience of more than 40,000.
Donna was ordained in New York City in 2009.
She lives in northern California.
